MOVING DANCE FORWARD WITH THE EVER CHANGING INDUSTRY:
As an evolving stage school, we always strive to do our best for our students. After conducting extensive research, we have made the decision at Unite Stage Academy to change our focus.
We want to help dancers shape their craft through a more student centred and creative approach.
At Unite we believe dancers need to understand how skills such as strength, flexibility, musicality and interpretation interconnect with technique and performance.
Whether a student dances for fun or aspired for the future, we want to provide students with the opportunity to perform to the best of their ability. Therefore, we have made the decision to step away from traditional examinations and move forward with Medal tests and ID dance company syllabi created by Ryan Jenkins.
Both gives students the platform to build on their existing skills whilst promoting confidence, expression, and an appreciation for dance.
We know from research, communications and experience doing traditional exams does not impact on being accepted into a stage school.
What this new and exciting approach will do will unlock the true passion, discipline, and valuable skills to becoming the best dancer you can be.
