Bethany’s professional journey began shortly after graduating, working with industry heavyweights such as West End star Jodie Steele and renowned choreographer Matthew Steer, known for his work on Chicago. Her dedication to the craft extends beyond choreography, with a focus on mentorship and education. Bethany has taught across various platforms, empowering the next generation of dancers and passing on her knowledge and expertise.
Bethany’s professional achievements also include notable work in theater and film. One of the highlights of her career was when she had the opportunity to be Glinda’s (played by Ariana Grandes) dance/movement double in the new ‘Wicked’ movie, where she was immersed in the fast-paced, high-pressure world of production. Filming routines such as the iconic "Dancing Through Life" number—a challenging and intricate routine that tested both her technical ability and her artistry. But the experience didn’t stop there. Midway through rehearsals, she was given the thrilling chance to audition for the role of Dorothy, diving deeper into the creative process and exploring her versatility as a performer.
Working closely with the visionary director Jon M. Chu, choreographer Christopher Scott, and associate director Leah Hill, Bethany gained invaluable insight into the film's artistic direction and the collaborative nature of large-scale productions. Her adaptability was further tested when she was asked to step in for Ariana Grande’s role during a brief absence—an exciting and high-stakes moment that required her to quickly master the choreography and seamlessly integrate into the performance. This opportunity not only showcased her skill under pressure but also solidified her ability to thrive in one of the most demanding environments in the industry.
